Students woke up this morning to a white Beckenham, after
2 inches of snow fell overnight. It continued snowing
during the morning and it was no suprise that a snowball
fight ensued during the break.
|

On Tuesday, Gaston took a few of our students to watch
the friendly football match between Portugal and Brazil
at Arsenal's 'Emirates' stadium.
|
|
|
|
On Wednesday, a group of students went to see the musical
'We Will Rock You' in central London.
|

Week ending Friday 27/11/05
|
|
Andy Townsend (King’s Principal) recently traveled to
Budapest to be part of a team of judges at a national
English language speaking competition called ‘Teamtalk’.
The competition is organised by BBC Prime, the British
Council and the Ministry of Education in Hungary. The
competition attracted teams of students from all over
Hungary. In the finals 12 teams competed against each
other in a number of special language-based tasks. The
winning team came from a school just outside Budapest.
The prize? A two-week stay at a King's School in the
UK next summer - all expenses covered including the EasyJet
flight! Andy spoke to the winning team after the event
- they were over the moon!
Last summer King's London welcomed the winners of
the first Teamtalk competition held in December 2004.
The team came from Pecs and stayed with us for 2 weeks
in July. They had a great time here - for most it was
their first time in the UK.
We hope this year’s winners will also choose King’s London.

This was the last week of the Belgian Europrogramme students
before they move on to rural Holland. Their final excursion
was to Brighton.

students acting out scenes for their 'Byte Size Life'
programme for GCSE students.
