What is an Internship?
An Internship is a period of non-salaried work with a British
company in a sector relevant to the student's chosen career.
Why enrol on an Internship?
English is the internationally spoken language of business;
gaining work experience in a British company considerably
improves ones career prospects. Students will need to be
self-funded for the duration of their stay.
Where will the Internship be based?
Most Internships will be arranged with companies in the
London area / south east England. In some cases, they may
be in other parts of the UK.
How long will an Internship last?
Our standard Internship lasts for a total of 5 months: 8
weeks of Intensive English lessons followed by a 12-week
Internship. However, longer or shorter Internships can be
arranged.

What is a Paid Work Placement?
A Paid Work Placement is a period of paid employment, usually
in the fields of hospitality, catering or retail.
Why enrol on a Paid Work Placement?
English is the internationally spoken language of business;
gaining work experience in a British company considerably
improves ones career prospects. This option allows students
to partially fund their stay in the UK.
Where will the Work Placement be based?
Paid Work Placements will be arranged with companies located
throughout the UK. They may take place in London.
How long will a Paid Work Placement last?
Our standard Paid Work Placement lasts for a total of 8
months: 8 weeks of Intensive English lessons followed by
24 weeks of paid work. Students work 35 - 40 hours / week.

* Applicant must
have at least an Upper Intermediate level of English at
the start of the placement
* Applicant's level of English will be assessed by telephone
interview
* Applicant will be required to provide a full Curriculum
Vitae and completed application form
* Applicant may have to attend job interviews before their
job is confirmed
* Applicant will be required to provide a copy of passport
and will be subject to a police check
* Applicant must be reliable, enthusiastic and hard-working
* Prices include the cost of accommodation for the duration
of English tuition only
* If starting in June, July or August, there may be additional
accommodation costs
